The Fox is a village pub at the heart of the community with crackling log fires and a welcoming bar specialising in local beers and cocktails. The menu celebrates local producers including our sister farms at Daylesford Organic and Wootton.
Bedroom interiors are inspired by the surrounding countryside with a spacious Coachman’s House opposite for larger groups.

Enjoy small plates with a craft beer by the fire in our bar or be tempted by the menu in our relaxed and welcoming Saddle Room.

The large oak bar at the heart of the pub is an inviting place to enjoy a drink by the fire, choose from our menu of light snacks to accompany. The Tack room and Parlour are tucked away in a quiet corner behind the bar, overlooked by a large inglenook fire.
Please note, the Bar, Parlour, Tack Room and Garden do not require a reservation.

Our rooms are individually designed, each inspired by the surrounding countryside. Elements of raw materials reflect rural habitats, whilst bronze finishes nod to equestrian influences and luxurious, natural linens compliment views over a wildflower roof top.

The Huntsman

With exposed Cotswold stone walls and thickly woven rugs, this characterful room is split over two levels, clamber upstairs to collapse into your cloudlike pillows.
The Wild Meadow

Filled with natural light and looking out over a wildflower rooftop, this botanical inspired room includes floral Hugo Guinness illustrations screen printed on natural fabrics.
The Hedgerow

A wild berry inspired colour palette is beautifully referenced throughout the Hedgerow, including the headboard upholstered in fabric exclusively created for The Fox by artisan block print makers in Jaipur.
The Hunting Lodge

The Coachman's House

Coachman’s House is a spacious four-bedroom self-catering farmhouse opposite The Fox. An open plan kitchen and living area with a large inglenook fire provide the perfect setting for entertaining larger groups.

To acknowledge this year`s Earth Day theme of #PlanetVsPlastics, as part of @daylesfordstays, here at The Fox we are setting a 60% reduction target for plastic production by 2040.
This is a huge challenge. In hospitality operations in particular, plastic use can be more complicated as it plays an important role in preserving food, transporting goods or waste disposal.
Our plastic strategy revolves around four principles, aligned with the UK Plastics Pact: Remove, Refuse, Reuse and Recycle. This includes removing single use plastic from our bedrooms, working with local growers who are able to deliver fresh produce in reusable containers and exploring alternatives to cling film and vacuum packs in the kitchen.
